A judge told Donald Trump to keep it down after the former president threw up his hands in disgust during his most recent civil fraud trial. But Trump had plenty of support in the audience, including a woman who tried to get up close and personal. Here’s the full story.
Trump Lights Up the Courtroom
Any time Donald Trump shows up anywhere these days, there’s always a chance that fireworks of some sort will break out. The courtroom is no exception.
He Didn’t Have to Be There
In mid-October, Trump showed up voluntarily to the state of New York’s proceedings against him in a civil fraud trial centered on dealings before he became president.
He Trumped Up His Finances
The basic crux of the case, brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, is that Trump defrauded banks and other lenders by exaggerating his financial status to secure loans.
There’s a Paper Trail
There are even accusations that Trump and his associates doctored paperwork that was key in helping several deals go through.
It Wasn’t Him
Part of the case against Trump included the testimony of real estate appraiser Doug Larson, who said that he had never consulted on the value of Trump properties.
‘Can You Believe This Guy?’
That prompted Trump to throw up his hands and start talking to his lawyers right in the middle of the proceedings.
He Told the Teacher
Kevin Wallace, one of the state’s lawyers, then asked Judge Arthur Engoron to put a stop to all the racket so the witnesses could concentrate on their testimony.
Turn Down the Volume
Engoron, a Democrat with no love lost for Trump and who previously found the former president guilty of fraud, did just that.
He told the entire courtroom to keep their voices down and stop trying to influence witnesses.
Trump Had Emotional Support
If Trump felt at all unloved by being told to hush up, he could at least take solace in the fact that he had plenty of support in the courtroom.
Up Close and Personal
In fact, one woman who identified herself as an employee of the court system wanted to get up close and personal with her hero.
She Only Has Eyes for Him
So, right in the middle of testimony, the woman stood up and started walking toward the front of the courtroom.
Trump was clearly the target of her affection.
Never Fear, Help Is Here!
As she walked toward Teflon Don, she started calling out to him, saying she was there to help.
They Stopped Her in Her Tracks
But before she could get close enough for Trump to even notice her, court officers swept in and hauled her outside the courtroom.
A Scared American
There, she could be heard repeating her good intentions and claiming that the officers were scaring her.
She also proclaimed her American citizenship.
She’s in a Timeout
Lucian Chalfen, a spokesperson for the court, said that the unnamed woman had been placed on administrative leave.
She’s also barred from entering state courts until authorities finish investigating her and the incident.
They Grew Apart
So, while Donald Trump can’t seem to stay out of court these days, at least one of his most ardent supporters couldn’t even buy her way in.

To add insult to her injury, Trump said that he had no idea there was even any commotion going on behind him.
