Tim Scott seems to be losing ground in the polls as the months roll by. But the Republican presidential candidate says his bank account can carry him through. Here is why Scott feels good about the future.
Sliding Off the Scale

According to a Fox News poll, Tim Scott’s support among Republican voters dropped from 3% to just 1% from September to October.
Can’t Match Vivek

The only other Republican presidential candidate who saw a bigger tumble during the same period was Vivek Ramaswamy, who fell from 11% to 7% after his debate bounce faded.
Cutting the Cord

To make matters worse, the political action committee, or PAC, that’s funding most of Scott’s campaign, just pulled the plug on a multi-million dollar ad campaign scheduled to run through the end of the year.
All Is Not Lost

But it’s not all gloom and doom, according to Scott and his supporters.
Just Being Responsible

For starters, Trust In the Mission PAC (TIM PAC) says they’re just being frugal with their funds, considering the world events that are dominating headlines and attention.
Stop Wasting Money

In canceling their ad blitz, TIM PAC said, “we aren’t going to waste our money when the electorate isn’t focused or ready.”
Hard to Break Through

Scott himself saw that as good news, saying that it’s tough to break through the current news cycle.
So he’d rather the PAC use their money to focus on the first caucus and primary looming in early 2024.
He’s ‘OK’

More than that, though, Scott says he isn’t concerned about his current poll numbers. When Fox News Digital asked if his campaign was in trouble, Scott replied, “I’m OK.”
Ready to Open Up

But Scott had more to say when he greeted reporters while officially filing to put his name on the ballot in New Hampshire.
Calling the Shots

Specifically, Scott told the crowd that he’s calling the shots about whether or not to move forward with his campaign.
Rolling in the Dough

What’s more, Scott said, he has more campaign money at his disposal than any candidate other than Donald Trump.
Scott says he’s in a very strong position as the calendar rockets toward 2024.
Facts Support Him

The bottom line backs up Scott’s assertions, at least to an extent.
Plenty Left Over

Campaign finance filings from earlier in October show that Scott brought more than $20 million to his presidential campaign, money left over from an easy run for his current position as a senator from South Carolina.
Stacking the Fat Stacks

Scott’s campaign has also managed to raise a decent amount of money, ballooning his coffers even more.
Burning a Hole in His Pocket

But Scott has also spent money like it’s going out of style, dropping some $14 million on ads through the end of September.
Money in the Bank

All of that cash flow in and out left Scott with more than $13 million on hand entering October, which was second only to Trump.
Bringing Up the Rear

Even so, Scott’s slide in the polls left him dead last among seven Republican contenders, according to Fox’s latest numbers.
Crowded Field Ahead

Now staring up at Chris Christie, Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, and Ron DeSantis, along with Ramaswamy and Trump, Scott has his work cut out for him.
They Won’t Be Able to Resist

Scott is counting on his huge bankroll to pull him through, but he also plans to put boots on the ground to meet with more voters as the temperatures turn cold across the country. “I think I’ll win them over,” he says.
