Chataporn Sriphonla, a 49-year-old woman from the Udon Thani province in Thailand, had been pronounced dead while being transported in a van from the hospital to her home on Thursday, June 29.
She Had Stopped Breathing
During the journey to the Ban Dung district, paramedics noticed that Chataporn had stopped breathing and appeared to have passed away.
Her Mother Notified Their Relatives
Shocked by the sudden turn of events, her elderly mother, Mali, was devastated and began the arduous task of notifying relatives, attributing her daughter’s passing to her battle with liver cancer.
Her Mother Made the Funeral Arrangements
In accordance with Buddhist customs, the grieving family prepared for a swift cremation and started making arrangements for the upcoming funeral service.
They Got a Casket
They purchased a casket and coordinated with temple staff for the ceremonies to honor Chataporn’s life.
Her Body Was on Its Way to a Temple
The van transporting her body was rerouted from their home to the Wat Sri Phadung Pattana temple, where her remains would be stored overnight.
