The Perfect Solution?
An incident at the bathroom of an all-day festival led to a group of friends and a 31-year-old woman facing a bathroom dilemma.
The line for the women’s restroom was huge, with about 10 minutes of waiting.
Her friend, a non-binary person assigned male at birth but presenting as male, had a suggestion.
They Tried Sneaking In
Why not use the men’s room, which had no line at all? So, they decided to give it a shot.
Sneaking into the nearly empty men’s room, they thought no one would even notice.
Caught Red Handed
They weren’t trying to inconvenience or make anyone uncomfortable. But as they were washing their hands, they overheard two women outside complaining to a security guard.
Apparently, they had seen girls going into the men’s room to skip the long line. It seemed their secret was out.
They Were Yelled At
Just as they were about to leave the bathroom, the security guard spotted the woman and couldn’t help but make a scene.
In a snarky tone, he yelled, “Ma’am! Ma’am! You do know this is the men’s room, right?”
Standing Against Discrimination?
Instead of apologising like she normally would, she decided to stand her ground. With her non-binary friend by her side, she fired back, “Well, what makes you think I’m a ma’am?”
The guard stumbled and awkwardly shrugged. Victory was theirs as they confidently walked away.
