That year, Rapinoe declared her refusal to visit the White House in case of a World Cup win “No. I’m not going to the White House, I don’t think we’ll be invited, I doubt it,” sparking a Twitter tirade from Trump himself.

Trump took to Twitter to express his anger, “Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our Flag, especially since so much has been done for her & the team. Be proud of the Flag that you wear.”
