Man Trades Valuable Collection
Recently, the internet went abuzz when a video surfaced on Twitter, showcasing a man trading in over $1,000 worth of vintage Nintendo items for a mere $700. The video, shared across multiple accounts on May 24, caught the attention of fans who were quick to share their opinions on the matter.
In the clip, Quincy, the trader, can be seen presenting his collection, which includes a Japanese Orange Pikachu Nintendo 64, a NES Action Set, and beloved N64 games like Goldeneye 007 and Mario Kart 64.
All items were still housed in their original boxes and were in great condition.
The Twitter Thread Was on Fire
The comment section flooded with screenshots of how much these items sell online showcasing the price disparity. One user took a screenshot of the Nintendo NES Action Set going for $3,999 on one website, and that was just ONE of the valuable items he brought in.
“I’m not even a gamer and I know he got scammed,” one man wrote.
‘He Traded up for the New Zelda Switch’
The game store employee on camera confirmed the trade, stating, “He traded in all of this, and he traded up for the new Zelda Switch. We gave him a $700 payout.” It remains unclear whether Quincy paid the full $700 for the Tears of the Kingdom edition Nintendo Switch OLED.
As news of the trade spread, users flooded the comments section with their thoughts, many expressing discontent and sympathy for Quincy’s perceived loss. One user lamented, “Poor lad. He has no idea how badly he got screwed. And they recorded it too.” Another user even went as far as stating, “This should actually be illegal.”
