Some users on Twitter actually agreed with the tweet, with one saying, “Yup. Potentially big money at stake if they don’t,” suggesting that if Disney doesn’t make it obvious that they’re inclusive, they will lose revenue.

But they didn’t speak for everyone. One user responded to Walsh’s Tweet, saying, “Your take is wrong here. She’s wearing a Jessie dress. It’s common for characters to interact in a more impactful ways with kids who show they have a deeper connection than normal. My girls would dress up and get loads of interaction with characters there.”

Another user said, “This was a joke & you’re reaching. The kid was dressed like her lol. That’s on brand for Disney. The Sesame Street issue had multiple videos where it was a pattern & that’s what raised questions.”
