The Background
The backdrop of this deposition is a legal battle that began when John Paul Mac Isaac, the owner of a now-defunct computer repair shop, sued Hunter Biden for defamation.
The Allegations
In response, Hunter Biden countersued, alleging that Mac Isaac stole his laptop and illegally distributed his private information.
Hunter Denied
One of the most puzzling aspects of Hunter Biden’s deposition was his refusal to acknowledge multiple visits to Mac Isaac’s repair shop in 2019.
There Were Proof
Despite the shop owner having documents with Hunter Biden’s signature and other evidence, Biden consistently denied visiting the shop more than once.

This contradiction between his statements and documented evidence added an element of confusion to the proceedings.
Hunter Was Embarrassed
However, Hunter Biden did admit that he felt “embarrassed” by the leak of his personal photos, some of which included nudity.

Throughout the deposition, he consistently stated that he either “doesn’t recall” or outright denied that the computer belonged to him.
Mac Shared His Side of the Story
John Paul Mac Isaac asserted that he had made multiple attempts to contact Hunter Biden in order to return the computer to its rightful owner.
However, he claimed that he was never successful in reaching Hunter Biden.
Hunter’s Illegal Activities
Mac Isaac’s decision to involve the FBI stemmed from his concerns about the potentially illegal activities documented on the laptop.
A report read, “After obtaining the rights to the laptop pursuant to the contract signed by Biden, Mac Isaac grew uneasy with the seemingly illegal activities cataloged in the laptop.”
Mac Gave It to the FBI
“As he was taught to do at the Apple Store and in accordance with his own convictions, he made contact with the FBI.
Soon thereafter, on December 9, 2019, Mac Isaac gave the laptop, the original hard drive, and the original work order to the FBI,” the report added.
Expectation of Privacy
On Hunter Biden’s side, the argument was made that he had a “reasonable expectation of privacy” regarding the data on the laptop.
He opposed that he had not anticipated that the data he had would be accessed, copied, or posted on the internet for public use or to be used against him or his family.
The Delaware Law
Contrary to Mac Isaac’s Repair Authorization form, Delaware law, as stated in the legal documents, orders that tangible personal property is deemed abandoned only after the property’s rightful owner fails to assert or declare property rights for a period of one year.

One user wrote, “The laptop wasn’t stolen the fool neglected to pick it up so after a time the repair shop had the right to sell it to get their money back for the repairs he was probably in one of his cocaine stumpers again”

Another user commented, “He is disgusting like his father,” while a third added, “Stolen laptop? What a foolish liar just like his father.”
It Was Not Stolen
A fourth user wrote, “It was NOT stolen…Hunter was abandoned at the repair shop…big difference. I am sure if it was stolen, Joe would have sent his team of special agents in to raid the shop and retrieve it, same as he did with Ashley’s diary.”
