Recently, OP’s friend showed her a watch that he had been ogling for awhile and really wanted to buy.
But at $2500, it was extravagant, and he couldn’t yet afford it.
It Was Fate
Not too long after that, OP happened to travel to New York City, and she decided to stop in at a watch shop.
There she spotted her friend’s dream watch right away.
She Just Couldn’t Resist
OP and her friend had always bought gifts for each other, and his 25th birthday was coming up in just a few weeks.
So she decided to splurge.
It Was No Big Deal to Her
OP knew the watch was over the top, but she could afford it.
She and her boyfriend both make very good money, and she could pay for it outright herself with no struggle.
