A young woman took to Reddit recently to ask for opinions after her coworker’s daughter rifled through her purse and got a big surprise. What the girl discovered shook up the entire workplace! Here is the full story.
They Have Rules
OP is a woman in her very early 20s.
Her workplace requires employees to leave their personal items in a locker area before heading back to the main work area.
This includes purses and handbags.
She Had Big Plans
One day, OP had plans to go out immediately after work.
Those plans involved a small adult toy, which she carried in her purse that day.
She Took Great Care
But OP took extra precautions to make sure that her toy remained a secret.
It was inside its own velvet pouch, which she then put inside an inside pocket of her purse, which was full of other items.
Finally, she zipped the purse closed and stored it high up on the bank of lockers.
They Called Her Out
Later that same day, OP got called to the front desk.
It seemed an administrative coworker wanted to return something that belonged to OP.
Her Secret Was Out
When OP got to the front desk, she could see that her coworker was angry.
She said that her young daughter had gone through OP’s purse and found her special “lipstick.”
A Turn of Events
OP was shocked to hear that her coworker’s daughter had rifled through her purse, and she half expected an apology to follow.
But what happened was something much different.

The coworker told OP that her daughter had brought the lipstick to her, excited because she liked the color of the case.
She wanted her mother to buy her something similar.

The two women stood there and argued for a while until OP ended it by saying she was sorry the little girl found her toy.
But she also told her coworker to keep her daughter out of OP’s personal item.

After the incident, OP’s bosses installed locks in the employee area, and they offered to pay for a replacement toy, since it had been handled by multiple people.
