Biden’s barking mad German Shepherd has made the headlines yet again for another dangerous attack on a member of the White House, this time sending a Secret Service agent to hospital.
The Persistent Biting Problem
The Biden family’s 2-year-old German shepherd, Commander, is making headlines for all the wrong reasons as he continues to bite people inside the White House.
Public Concerned For Health
This biting spree has become a significant cause for concern within the White House staff and among the public, as it’s not the first time the dog has lashed out.
A Disturbing Pattern
Commander’s latest victim was a Secret Service agent, marking what seems to be the 11th incident of its kind since the German shepherd entered the White House.
A Recent Attack
The agent has since been treated and is reported to be recovering. However, such occurrences pose a threat to the safety of the personnel within the White House.
Commander’s Trail of Incidents
Since his arrival in 2021, Commander has been involved in a series of biting incidents.
In one such incident in November of the same year, the German shepherd sent an officer to the hospital with injuries to the arms and thighs.
The White House’s Struggles to Control Aggression
The White House administration acknowledged the issue and had announced plans for new training protocols after a previous biting incident in July.
However, despite these efforts, Commander’s aggressive behavior seems challenging to curb.
Predicting a Dangerous Future
An anonymous staffer had previously voiced concerns, indicating that it’s just a matter of time before an agent or officer is seriously harmed, “I believe it’s only a matter of time before an agent/officer is attacked or bit,” they said.
Biden’s Previous Canine Troubles
This is not the first time the Biden family has faced challenges with their pets.
In 2021, the family had to send their dogs, Champ and Major, back to Delaware following aggressive behavior.
White House Secretary Revealed Biden Family Dog Problems
Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki revealed, “The first family’s younger dog, Major, was surprised by an unfamiliar person and reacted in a way that resulted in a minor injury to the individual.”
First Lady’s Dog Obsession
First Lady Jill Biden has shared her struggle in acclimating dogs to the White House’s unique environment, “I’ve been getting obsessed with getting our dogs settled because we have an old dog and we have a very young dog.”
A History of Challenges
Even the previous group of Biden dogs, including Champ and Major, faced challenges in adjusting to the White House surroundings and new people, “They have to take the elevator, they’re not used to that, and they have to go out on the South Lawn with lots of people watching them. So that’s what I’ve been obsessed with, getting everybody settled and calm,” the First Lady admitted.

Commander arrived at the White House in 2021, joining the Biden family and becoming a part of the presidential residence, with his arrival overshadowed by a multitude of dangerous mistakes.
