Texas Governor Greg Abbott ordered the Texas National Guard to install the wire, which was removed by Biden’s orders.

Salinas claimed there would be no shelter installed to help house the large influx of migrants into the small town, “We don’t have the funds or resources to do that,” he said.

In a similar incident to the viral video, a hundred-strong crowd reached Piedras Negras attempting to cross on the Mexican side, braving waist-deep waters and engaging in a standoff with Border Patrol and National Guard boats.
The Plight of Women and Children
Though mostly comprised of men, there were women and children among the Venezuelan and Nicaraguan migrants.
Some appeared unwell and dehydrated by the time they reached the US.

Elon Musk made an appearance at Eagle Pass, livestreaming from the overwhelmed border town.
Musk voiced his pro-immigrant stance, “As an immigrant to the United States, I am extremely pro-immigrant, and I believe we need an expanded immigration system so anyone who is hard-working and honest should be let in,” he started.
